Experience Details
Join Soma and his band of merry hosts for a Shibuya bar hop and izakaya crawl like no other! You’ll explore the backstreets of Shibuya, uncover hidden bars, and lively izakayas in this essential Tokyo nightlife experience. What sets this tour apart is that it's about connecting with the city's energy and its people along with the adventure, food, and boozy elements.
Soma’s journey into Tokyo city tours was an unexpected one. When the pandemic began, he was a university student whose dreams of traveling abroad were paused. However, where others saw roadblocks, Soma saw opportunity… He began seeking adventure in his backyard (Japan) and searched for unique experiences, hidden gems, and beyond. This opened up a new world and career path for him, which you’ll experience tonight.
As dusk settles over Shibuya, neon lights flicker to life, and the city comes alive. Stroll through the Shibuya Crossing–the world's BUSIEST intersection–and play a game of human dodgem cars as you navigate this multi-crossing maze. It’s organized chaos at its best, and no Shibuya experience would be complete without it. From here, you’ll find through backstreets on your way to a selection of hidden bars and local drinking holes (hand-picked by Soma, of course). Here, you’ll clink glasses, exchange boozy banter with Tokyo-ites, and form friendships to last a lifetime.
Next, it’s time to refuel and re-line your stomach with some izakaya food! Izakayas are quintessential Japanese gastropubs, where locals and visitors gather to unwind and indulge in tasty bites. What’s on the menu? Expect crispy karaage, crunchy tempura, sizzling yakitori, fresh sashimi, and beyond (far beyond). Izakaya food is made to be shared and ordered in multitudes, so don’t hold back!
As the night draws to a close, the memories you’ve made and friendships formed will linger long after your head hits the pillow. Whether you come alone or with a group, you’ll have a fun-filled, social, and legendary night out.
