Learning how to pair sake with food is an art that requires not just a love of sake but dedication, an understanding of flavor profiles, and keen senses. Fortunately, it’s an art everyone can learn – and you’ll be able to do just that in this private beginners’ sake course!
In this immersive experience, you’ll obtain a beginners’ sake navigator certificate in a 1.5-hour course taught by a certified sake sommelier. After learning the basics of sake brewing and how sake is classified, you will try five types of sake (including some that are premium-ranked) paired with a platter of four dishes to understand how the flavors blend and complement each other. You’ll end the class eating delectable A5 premium Wagyu sushi. Your certificate of sake navigator will be sent to your home after the experience!
Experience flow:
-A 1-hour class covering the sake-making process, history, ingredients, and methods
-The remainder of the class will involve tasting different types of sake and eating izakaya dishes and wagyu sushi
