Experience Details
Considered by some as the “culinary capital of Japan” (the city’s motto is “kuidaore,” literally meaning “to eat oneself into financial ruin”), Osaka should be on every foodie’s itinerary. On this Osaka food tour, meet Yoko, a licensed tour guide and cooking instructor who will introduce you to her favorite spots in the city.
Stroll among the food stalls of Dotonbori and try some local specialties, visit the tiny and very charming Hozenji Temple, and eat your way through Kuromon Shopping Street.
Next, it’s lunchtime, and it’s your choice! Pick between sushi, tempura, okonomiyaki (savory pancake), ramen, Japanese curry, or anything else your heart (or stomach) desires. Just let Yoko know your preferences in advance.
Since 2015, Yoko has hosted 1,200 guests and counting. She’s a nationally licensed tour guide who has taught Japanese cooking classes in Japan and abroad (London and Dublin) in three languages (Japanese, English, Mandarin Chinese). Come and see Osaka through her eyes; she’s excited to meet you!
