Two quintessential foods often enjoyed together, ramen noodles and gyoza dumplings are an appetizing and comforting combination of some of Japan's most classic flavors and ingredients.


This class is held at a cooking studio located between the historical Asakusa and the famous Kappabashi Kitchen Street. A traditional and historical center with over a thousand years of cultural legacy, it’s no surprise that Asakusa is the birthplace of ramen in Tokyo. This Japanese dish has endless flavors and style possibilities, and the only thing better than a steamy bowl of ramen... is a steamy bowl of ramen, with a dish of crispy gyoza dumplings to complete the meal! That's why you'll also learn how to make gyoza dumplings, expertly folded and perfectly juicy, fried until extra crispy. Then, you'll enjoy both dishes together in this popular class!


Sit down to your hard work, eat among friends, and then take home recipes and a new skill! A great way to gain tips and tricks for preparing Japanese food, learn how to cook like a true local in this fun Tokyo ramen class in Asakusa.

Meeting Point and Meeting Time

  • The meeting point is at the cooking class location. This cooking class in Tokyo is located in between historical Asakusa and Kappabashi Kitchen Town. The video guide for accessing the cooking class location will be provided upon booking.

Remarks

  • Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation. Once confirmed, present your booking information at the cooking class.

  • You will use packaged ramen noodles but learn how to make the broth and toppings.

Home to the famous Sensoji Temple, a Buddhist temple built in the 7th century, Asakusa overflows with rich history and traditional culture. In the past, Asakusa was Tokyo’s leading entertainment district, a red light district with a number of kabuki theaters. Most of Asakusa was destroyed during World War II, but it has since grown into one of Tokyo's most visited tourist spots. Here, you'll find Nakamise Dori, a bustling shopping street lined with local snack and souvenir shops. Asakusa also has other attractions such as parks, public baths, and museums.
