Experience Details
“Diyafa” means “hospitality” in Arabic and is also the name of a halal restaurant in Tokyo, which was born from the wish to provide the opportunity for Muslim travelers to enjoy Japanese cuisine with comfort and ease. Known for its commitment to quality, the restaurant uses halal seasonings and ingredients only, including some fine halal wagyu meat thinly sliced every time to ensure freshness.
Diyafa’s hospitality extends beyond the ingredient list to top-notch service and unforgettable experiences of Japanese traditional culture — like this one!
Get dressed in a traditional kimono and explore the area of Minato, known for its great views of nearby Tokyo Tower, then enjoy a quintessential Japanese meal at Diyafa.
You’ll wear a traditional kimono with the help of your friendly English and Indonesian-speaking host, Natsuko, and stroll around Minato, where the restaurant is located. Take many photos with Tokyo Tower in the background. Explore Zozoji Temple, walk through the streets of Hamamatsucho, or explore the temples and shrines along the way.
Back at the restaurant, enjoy sukiyaki (a Japanese-style hotpot.) Featuring slices of halal wagyu (120g) and vegetables in a soy sauce broth, sukiyaki is commonly eaten by dipping the contents in a beaten raw egg, which gives it a unique, savory taste. Your sukiyaki set includes white rice, miso soup and pickles. There’s also an option to change the menu contents for Shokado bento, tempura, or include even more food items in the sukiyaki meal (please see the Options.) After lunch, you’ll taste freshly whisked matcha and sweets in a traditional tea ceremony.
This wonderful experience that combines dining and sightseeing is a great way to spend a memorable day in Tokyo.
