I hesitated at first because of the price but I can say that it is totally worth it! I was alone so I got a private workshop. Yuko has excellent English and her explanations were simple and interesting. she was patient, professional and kind. and I learned a lot about Japanese sweets and through them about Japanese culture. In addition, I experienced making delicious matcha. Highly recommend!

We not only learned how to make these sweets but also gained an appreciation for the culture and traditions behind them. This class was an unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in exploring a unique culinary art and spending a meaningful day with loved ones. It's a perfect blend of education, hands-on fun, and cultural appreciation.

It was such a treat for us to be welcomed into Kaori’s home and to cook in her kitchen. Kaori’s English is really good and she explained everything to us very clearly. Of course we enjoyed eating the dishes too ! She has sent us photos and recipes which we will definitely be cooking when we get back home in Australia. Brilliant! Such a great experience. Japan isn't the most vegan friendly place, but this class offered both vegan and vegetarian options, which put my partner and me at ease. The class was very informative, and is suitable for all abilities as the host clearly explains each step in turn. Heads up if you are vegetarian and vegan, there is a point in the demonstration where steamed fish is passed around the group, but of course you don't need to hold it. I'd thoroughly recommend this class particularly to couples, it's a great bonding exercise. If you go alone you will be paired up with another person so you can help each other along the way.
